[15/09-1/10/2009] The second NorthPOP MS course (UiT), Norway. 14 students (7 Russian and 7 Norwegian) took part. 2 weeks they learned the modern methods of Mass spectrometry in the labs as 3 groups and summarized their achievements on final seminar with group presentations

[25-28/05/2009] The second NorthPOP workshop. Sommaroy, Norway

NorthPOP participants met together for scientific presentations about ongoing projects, discussion and planning of future activities.


[6-16/10/2008] The first NorthPOP MS-course was held at Tromso University (UiT), Norway.

Mostly Russian student and researchers learned the modern methods of identifies the chemical composition by Mass spectrometry. MS Training Course was organized by Department of Pharmacy, The Medical Faculty, University of Tromso (responsible person- Einar Jensen)

[27-29/05/2008] The first NorthPOP workshop was held at St-Petersburg State University (SPbSU), Russia.

Norwegian and Russian participants met together for scientific presentations and discussion. They planed the main project activity for next 3 years.

A SCIENTIFIC NORWEGIAN-RUSSIAN EXCHANGE PROGRAM ON

HIGHER UNIVERSITY EDUCATION

The aim of the project is to develop a mutual scientific exchange within environmental chemistry based upon transfer of scientific knowledge, MSc, PhD students and personnel.

Main activity:
Medium-term research visits (3-12 months; 6 months in average) of M.Sc., Ph.D. students and Post-doctoral researchers. Research visits are an integrated part of each M.Sc., Ph.D. or post-doc project.

Duration of the project: 2008-2010

The second NorthPOP conference has been held at SOMMAROY Hotel & Conference Centre near TROMSOE (NORWAY) at 25-28 may 2009.

10 Norwegian researchers from 6 institutes, 20 Russian from 10 institutes and 1 German guests gathered for overview of NorthPOP ongoing projects, lectures of NorthPOP professors and planning of future activities.
